Winter Youth Retreat

February 13-16th is this year’s Winter Youth Retreat at Double K. Open to both junior and senior high youth, this year’s event is a partnership between LifePoint Church in Renton, Washington and the PNA. More information will be available on our website: LINK.

Church planter chosen for Bremerton

After a lengthy search and assessment process we are pleased to announce that Jerry Michaels has been chosen to lead in the planting of a new church in the north central Kitsap County region, around Bremerton, Washington. Jerry, his wife Melissa and their son Luke currently live in Portland, Oregon and are hoping to be onsite in January. They also have two older daughters.

The opportunity to plant a new church came about when the Bremerton Community Church of God accepted the challenge to leave a legacy for the future by releasing their assets and leadership to the PNA for the purposes of establishing a new church that can reach out more effectively in the area. The PNA is partnering with Church Multiplication Association in the launch of this new congregation. Please pray for the Michaels as they make this move, and for the existing congregation as they continue in the transition toward this new ministry.

Thanksgiving Offering 2008

PNA Office is moving

We are pleased to announce that the PNA office is moving, effective December 1st. New Joy Community Church in Yakima is purchasing a new building and has invited us to join them at their new location. Our new address will be: 3806 W Nob Hill Blvd, Suite 104, Yakima, WA 98902. (Our phone number will remain the same).

Celebrating “Casa de Dios”!

This spring the PNA challenged our churches to contribute to a special fundraising drive, called “Casa de Dios“, intended to assist Volviendo a la Biblia, our Hispanic congregation in Schawana, Washington. The church is experiencing tremendous growth and in desperate need for a new building. The PNA committed to matching any donations received.

Recently we were excited to present the church with a check for $48,790! (And since then several thousand dollars more have come into our office). The congregation is extremely grateful for our gift to them.

Hispanic church planting in Yakima

The PNA is excited to see the launch of a new Hispanic church planting project in Yakima. God has opened several doors for us, including connection with Mario Garza who will be heading up this endeavor. The fledgling new congregation is currently meeting in the building of New Joy Community Church.

Please pray for this ministry as they reach out in the Yakima area.

Annual Meeting - October 4, 2008

The PNA’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th at 10:00am at Double K Christian Retreat Center. This is an opportunity for pastors and congregational delegates from across our district to gather for fellowship and to conduct our organization’s business. Of particular significance this year, new bylaws will be voted on as part of our larger TransforMinistry emphasis. Church leaders are encouraged to come a day earlier this year to take in our conference with missional church leader, Dr. Milfred Minatrea.

PNA Prayer Summit

Leadership Summit scholarships extended

The PNA is encouraging pastors and other church leaders to attend the Willow Creek Leadership Summit at Cornwall Church in Bellingham, August 7-8. We still have some scholarships available from the Ministerial Assembly and therefore have extended the application deadline to July 31st. LINK.

WCG Retreat
