Climb ‘10

Registration information is now available for Climb ‘10, the annual PNA Camp and Conference, July 20-25 at Double K Christian Retreat Center.

Climb is an event for the entire family, one that provides our churches a unique opportunity for renewal, fellowship and recreation. Special attention will be given to the equipping and strengthening of church leaders. This year only we are veering slightly from our regular format to help you become better acquainted with the ministries of our member churches. Watch for more details!

(Climb ‘10 will be preceded by the Senior Adult Camp, July 18-20)

New SHAPE Administrative Assistant

SHAPE Northwest (a cooperative venture of the PNA and the Oregon / Southwest Washington district) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gwen Johnson as our new Administrative Assistant, effective February 1st. Gwen has considerable ministry experience, including as a missionary with her husband John, who is a professor at Warner Pacific College. Doctrinal Workshop

As part of our focus on leader development within the PNA, a Doctrinal Workshop will be held March 23, 2010 at Double K Christian Retreat Center. This workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of biblical doctrines as taught within the Church of God and features Dr. Jerry Hickson. Anyone interested may attend this workshop, but ministers seeking licensing are required to attend in preparation for the writing of their theological statements as part of the credentialing process. Church planter chosen for Snohomish county

After a lengthy search and assessment process we are pleased to announce that Michael Reynolds has been chosen to lead in the planting of a new church in the west Snohomish county region north of Seattle. Mike, his wife Kim, and their four children have just moved here from Phoenix, Arizona where he was the Student Ministry Pastor at Mountain Park Community Church. The Reynolds are no strangers to the Northwest, having previously lived and ministered in Washington.

The opportunity to plant a new church came about when the previous Everett congregation (now Vital Signs Ministries in Marysville) graciously donated money to the PNA from the sale of their property for the purposes of church planting. The PNA is partnering with Church Multiplication Association in the launch of this new congregation. Please pray for the Reynolds during this time of transition, and for this exciting new ministry venture.

LAMP Workshop

As part of the PNA’s emphasis on leadership development we are offering a workshop designed to assist ministers in developing a Life and Ministry Plan. Anyone interested may attend this workshop, but ministers seeking ordination are required to attend in preparation for their own LAMP. The workshop is on November 2nd (CORRECTION: 9th) at Double K.
